Non Fungible Bitcoin
ongoing project since 2023
Originally part of a wall installation ‘Non Fungible Bitcoin; NFB’ in Kiel 2023 and in Düsseldorf 2024, each sugar bitcoin was altered by time and exhibition conditions before being individually removed and sealed in epoxy.
What began as a repeated currency form became a unique material record.
Each numbered work from the NFB Archive preserves a specific trace of the installation — and asks how value is created through scarcity, circulation, and collective belief.

Mining
Four numbered NFBs are released each month through the Public Mining Block and enter public circulation through this website and Instagram.
Works marked ‘Available’ have been released from the archive into public circulation and are currently open for collection.
The first fifty works, NFB #001–#050, remain in the Artist Reserve and are not offered for collection.
Works collected before public mining began are preserved in the Genesis Ledger as records of the archive’s first circulation.
NFB ARCHIVE
Occasionally, selected works may enter circulation through exhibitions, gallery-held selections.
These releases are separate from the monthly Public Mining Block and are recorded individually in the archive.
