Bitcoin challenged familiar ideas of money by showing how value can be shaped through scarcity, circulation, and collective belief.
Made from red-dyed sugar, Non Fungible Bitcoin(NFB) translates these questions into a fragile physical form. The work reflects on desire, speculation, trust, and the stories through which value is created.

This work originates from the 2024 wall installation Non Fungible Bitcoin, presented in the group exhibition ‘Academy Selection 2024’ at Gallery Kellermann, Germany.
During the exhibition, the sugar bitcoin changed in response to its environment. After the installation was dismantled, it was individually removed and sealed in epoxy.
Each NFB is individually numbered and preserves a specific material trace of the installation.
