about work
Bitcoin challenged familiar ideas of money by showing how value can be shaped through scarcity, circulation, and collective belief.
Made from red-dyed sugar, Non Fungible Bitcoin(NFB) translates these questions into a fragile physical form. The work reflects on desire, speculation, trust, and the stories through which value is created.

NFB #001–#050 form the Artist Reserve.
The first fifty works remain with the artist as the held origin of the Sugar Bitcoin Archive. Visible and individually recorded in the Genesis Ledger, they remain outside public circulation.
The reserve reflects the uncertain beginning of Bitcoin: anonymous authorship, early mining, and holdings that remain unverified. By retaining these works, the archive establishes its own inaccessible beginning — a founding sequence shaped by scarcity, speculation, and belief.
The works are not offered for collection.
